Art Trail
Artists, makers, galleries, shops and homeowners throw open their doors, to let you inside their studios, houses and their creative thought processes. The Trail is a walkable, open house art event featuring artists and makers and is free to all visitors.
Music
An amazing array of performers, from young local bands to seasoned professionals as well as artists right on the edge of big future success, covering a wide range of genres including classical, pop, jazz, folk and rock. Classical music in the Cathedral by The Sleepy Lagoon Orchestra and at the Town Hall by the internationally-renowned Hanover Band.
Theatre
Drip Action Theatre have a theatre Trail and evening performances, showcasing their traditional choice of new and out-of-the-ordinary material in different venues around Arundel. Conn Artists Theatre Company is also presenting the UK premiere of a Perfect Likeness written by Reduced Shakespeare at the Victoria Institute. Local theatre group the Arundel Players present an exciting production each Festival in the unique 13th century Priory Playhouse. Arundel Castle hosts productions of Shakespeare in its enchanting Collector Earl’s Garden, this year presenting ‘Much Ado About Nothing' 'Words and Music' are organising a programme of lectures as part of the festival to be held in the Town Hall including a talk on Georgian theatre in Arundel.
Entertainment
'Happy’s Circus' is back with 9 shows over three days. Dawn’s Big Top Cabaret and Retro Bingo (fancy dress optional) will have you in stitches while the Vintage Fairground and various activities at The Lido will keep the kids happy. Sporting Bears are bringing their classic, sports and super cars back to town, offering passenger rides in an amazing car of your choice, all in the cause of raising money for charity. The annual Duck Race has become an essential part of the festival and provides fun for all the family. The Arundel 10k is an annual event hosted by the Arundel Scout Group. The run is well established, attracting runners of varying abilities, both for fun and competition. Awards are presented for various categories and every runner receives a medal. This year, the run will start and finish in Arundel Park taking in a route through the Castle grounds.
