Staff at Peacehaven Heights Primary school take strike action on May 5th

Staff at Peacehaven Heights Primary School will be taking strike action on Wednesday 5th May 2021.

They are calling on East Sussex County Council to advertise for a permanent headteacher and put in place a shadow governing body, which is what was promised to staff and parents in September 2019.

In 2019, staff at Peacehaven Heights Primary School took strike against the threat of the school being taken over by an academy trust. Staff, parents and children marched through Peacehaven town centre to say no to academies and they won!

Now, in 2021, staff will be taking strike action again over exactly the same issue.

You can write to your County Councillor to demand they put these things in place so that strike action can be called off.
